About Cashel Tidy Towns

Cashel Tidy Towns is a volunteer‑driven community group dedicated to celebrating, protecting, and enhancing the natural, cultural, and historic beauty of our town. Rooted in pride of place and powered by local people of all ages, we work year‑round to make Cashel a cleaner, greener, more vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

Our projects range from biodiversity planting and pollinator‑friendly initiatives to heritage trails, litter management, community education, and creative collaborations with schools, youth groups, and local organisations. We believe that small, consistent actions — a planted verge, a freshly painted bench, a shared clean‑up — build a stronger, more connected community.

Over the years, Cashel has been honoured with numerous Silver Medals in the national Tidy Towns competition, recognising the dedication of our volunteers and the pride our community takes in its surroundings. In 2025, Cashel achieved a major milestone with its first-ever Gold Medal, a testament to the town’s growing commitment to sustainability, heritage, and civic spirit.

We are always open to new volunteers, whether you can give an hour a month or a morning a week. Every pair of hands, every idea, and every bit of local knowledge strengthens the work we do and helps Cashel thrive.

Whether you join a clean‑up, help with planting, share expertise, or simply cheer us on, you’re part of the story we’re writing — one that honours our past while nurturing a sustainable future.
